our story

Nicoletta is a B2B brand that designs custom crochet merchandising for universities, where every piece is handmade in Paraguay by women rebuilding their lives through dignified work inside correctional facilities. Each woman is paid per finished product and takes part in a national reintegration program that reduces one day of sentence for every three full working days, transforming time served into time restored.

Hi, I’m Nicole, and I started crocheting as a hobby because I wanted to make a cute, colorful handbag for myself for the upcoming summer. I turned to YouTube, practiced day and night, and slowly taught myself how to crochet. When I began wearing my creations, my family and friends noticed and loved them. I made more for them, and soon, others were asking too. In December 2023, I officially launched Nicoletta.

Meanwhile, my best friend, María Victoria, was working with national and international organizations, including UNICEF and Paraguay’s Ministry of Youth, always driven by the desire to create positive change and empower others.

Soon after, I expanded the collection with new products and collaborated with well-established local brands, creating unique handmade pieces that celebrate craftsmanship and artistry. At first, Nicoletta was all about joy and the beauty of handmade crochet work. But as I kept creating, something inside me shifted. I realized Nicoletta could be more than just beautiful products, it could carry purpose.

I began dreaming bigger, imagining how this brand could create opportunities, honor skilled makers, and tell meaningful stories not just locally, but around the world. That vision came to life when María Victoria and I, best friends since childhood, joined forces as business partners. Together, we shaped Nicoletta into something that stands for more: EMPOWERMENT, IDENTITY, and CONNECTION through handmade craft.

our pillars

Real Over Perfect

We celebrate the process: authentic, imperfect, and beautifully human. No two pieces are exactly alike, and that’s exactly what makes them real.

Style With Substance

More than beautiful products. It’s about knowing where it came from, who made it, and why it exists.

Work That Uplifts

We partner with artisan women, including those creating new paths behind bars, turning skill into opportunity and craft into confidence.

Made to Last

In a fast world, we slow down, creating pieces that last through quality, in meaning, and in impact.

Arañitas
Assoc.

Nicoletta has signed a landmark agreement with Paraguay’s Ministry of Justice, in partnership with the nonprofit Arañitas Association, to support the social reintegration of incarcerated women through dignified, skill-based work. Through this initiative, incarcerated women are given the opportunity to weave a new beginning, one stitch at a time.

Each woman receives:

This is more than employment. It’s a second chance. A path to healing, income, and reintegration.

school spirit meets
social impact

We craft personalized crochet accessories in your university colors from phone straps to laptop cases, celebrating school spirit in a meaningful way. Each piece includes a QR code that connects you to the story of the woman who made it. Because behind every stitch is a real person, and every accessory carries more than just your colors.

why
universities?

Both my partner and I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad. That experience showed us that campus life is more than classes and grades, it’s community, identity, and shared values. Through Nicoletta, we want to share a glimpse of that spirit, turning everyday accessories into symbols of pride, connection, and positive impact. That’s why we see universities as the perfect place to bring this mission to life, creating merch that students don’t just wear, but carry with purpose. Because merch should mean more.
